I just spoke to our Security Response Manager Trip Armstrong who told me a most interesting story. “One thing we notice is that over 90% of the customers we remote into to remove malware for, have outdated Adobe and Java products on their systems. This is the Number One source of infection. Adobe and Java nag the heck out of people till they update, yet when we get on the system, it’s always there staring us in the face. Please tell our readers that it is vital that they update!” These updates are issued for a reason folks; they patch vulnerabilities and make your system more secure. Don’t ignore those update messages, and update your software applications!!
